For a 145m2 house construction G+1 , the foundation type is Continous footing(see attached layout). The amount of steel per m2 is 19Kg/m2 excluding ground slab reinforcement and 60Kg/m2 including the ground slab.

Calculation of Concrete for residential projects

The quantity estimation of concrete is very crucial for residential projects. It is a determinant factor for the project since its unit rate is 140$/m3.  For continuous footing system including continuous pad od 60cm width and 30cm high, Plinth beam of 25cm width and 354cm high and finaly a slab of 10cm thick we got a total amount of concrete of 30.65m3. The concrete quantity per m2 is 30.65/100=0.31m3/m2.
